The epilogue was originally supposed to be the hub, so I deleted the tale I posted and replaced it with this.
Bonus: "Rat" was supposed to be an actual character. If you can… well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the epilogue seems to work as well if read from the last phrase to the first (Let's begin at the end. The year is 3053, and I've seen it all…). Is this a coincidence or it was mean to be this way, as the last phrase suggests?
The year is 3053, and something isn't right.
This is actually a super cool idea for a canon. Shame that it didn't materialize as planned.

Eh, I'm still going to continue making stuff to post to this canon. It has a kind of flexibility that lets me play.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
I look forward to it.

I liked Rat's Nest. It had such good atmosphere. And Jitte.
I'm going to ask dout the definition of jitte because google has failed me.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
To clarify (months after the fact), Rat's Nest was a Magic: The Gathering preconstructed deck that contained the immensely overpowered card Umezawa's Jitte, which was worth far more than the deck's MSRP, making it very sought after.
Just some thoughts on the canon:
The character narrating the epilogue is Bright, which by the writing of the epilogue in his particular timeline, is the last sane thing in existence.
I've seen so far tales being posted about the chaos near the end, and desperate attempts to fix everything, and I like both of those ideas so far.
I'm looking forward to seeing the start of the timeline being elaborated on, the Freemasons, and the great Occult Wars mentioned on the GOC website, the tipping of the first domino.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this!
With Roget's new Tale, you now have 4 authors, including one not involved with the original contest. Congrats, you have earned a canon tag, "rats-nest".
Giving bearhugs to the unsuspecting since 1872.
The LTE-0913 link should be relinked to the new GOC threat entity page.

Thanks. Changed.
Updated the writer's guide to be a bit easier to read. Clarified that this is indeed the Foundation Dreadlords canon.
