Alright reposting this. Have made a bunch of tweaks and changes to it to hopefully resolve a few issues and unintentional relations to other things. If the core idea wasn't something you liked, this probably won't change your mind, but who knows.

This is for DrMagnus' birthday contest.

Thanks to Rimple, stairfallinstitute, Lixerf, drblackbox, weryillium, djkaktus and DrBleep for reading the draft.

A note on the object class: The original version of this article was Archon class, which was defined in ihp's proposal. I was developing a very similar original object class for this while writing it, but when ihp's proposal was posted shortly before the original version of this, I decided to go with Archon instead.

Firstly, I like the mental image created by the original than this one. I liked one month of everyone going bonkers instead of a one month long party.

Second, I prefer the Archon class over the Keter class as I believed the foundation is calculated enough to know to not fully contain a god as the consequences of doing so are devastating.

This is still written well, but the original works better to me

Thirding that I like Archon, but I'm also not complaining. This is a very good article any way you spin it — a great elaboration of an already great concept. +1 with gusto.

Love it. The new beginning fixes the issue of being too purge-like and means you're in the right mood to enjoy the list of notable occurrences. I do agree that the Archon class was fine if you want to change it back :)

Excellent news. Keter feels wrong somehow, and Archon fills an interesting niche in the box metaphor:

• If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and nothing bad will happen, then it's probably Safe.
• If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and you're not entirely sure what will happen, then it's probably Euclid.
• If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and it easily escapes, then it's probably Keter.
• If it is the box, then it's probably Thaumiel.
• If locking it in a box is the cause of bad things happening, it's probably Archon.

This is really good! There's another article that uses a similar esoteric class, though: http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-3240 is Hiemal-class, described by Niles as "putting it in a box makes other bad shit start happening". I know Pickman used Archon-class for his 001 proposal, but this might fit better as Hiemal. Up to you, and regardless, you get a +1.

Other thoughts:

- My immediate reaction was "hey, it's the Dark Hour from Persona 3 as an SCP". I'm not sure if that's what you intended or not, but I like it.
- Pure curiosity, but is there any historical basis for a month called Liberary? Like, has it ever been on any calendar?
- Is there any significance to the interviewer's name being Christchurch? Considering the religious implications of the SCP, it seems almost too apropos.

- I had thought about Heimal, but that is specifically about anomalies containing other anomalies whereas these (and the original Archon) is just about things going really badly when containing a single anomaly.
- Never played any Persona games, so no, not intentional.
- There is actually a historical Roman festival called Liberalia (which I also managed to work in, independant of the month name) which starts on the date the anomaly itself starts on, but as far as I know Liber has never had an actual month named after him.
- No significance with the interview name; just the first name that came into my head when thinking of a name for the interviewer.
