And now, the first tale in the "Doctors of the Church" canon.
As a pastor's kid myself, I was amused greatly at all of the churchiness in this story. Upvoted.
Cleffers, wasn't that supposed to be pastors'? grin
Upvoted.
Curse you Smapti, for managing to emulate the style of one of my favorite novels spot on. I legitimately tried to upvote again when I got to the end.
e: And also the punchline has my inner theologian in stitches.
Bahahahaha. Great work on the writing itself. ALSO great work on managing to make this feel relatively distinct and separate from the Bellerverse. Similar concept, different execution. PROCEED
I can't help but fear (and giggle maniacally) that if Dan Brown somehow survived the global clusterfuck, he would be the instigator of this schism..
Screw it. That's my headcanon now.
Except for wanting to be in the amulet, you have Bright down dead perfect Smapti. the voice is deffently there.

Is there really no situation Bright would find the amulet preferable to?
Not in my opinion? It's not a nice place, inside the amulet. It's filled with fragments of identities he's over written, memories of his deaths, and absolutely no way to tell how long he's been stuck in there.

Hm. Am I allowed to upvote this, even though I'm in Smapti's group? This is really quite amusing.
This is a good question. I would assume that team member votes don't count, but… Ask TroyL. (The answer would benefit everyone.)
I'd hate to get in a filioque argument with Bright.
