Cool
Welp. Here it is. The big re-write. Months of work and revising.
Let's do this thing.
While a couple details could possibly be fleshed out in a different way, I absolutely love this.
It's bold, concise, ambitious, compelling, weird, and tweaks you in the feels: everything I felt was missing from the previous version.
And it's been rewritten from a reasonably high rating, so you deserve kudos for that too.
Superb work.
Dr. ████████: And when that happens?
SCP-001-05: Quiet days, Doctor. Quiet days and peace.
…
Just take my upvote. +1.
Edit: Hold on, though…
Site 87
…um. Apparently, the Foundation has two Site 87's. That's the only thing that really bugs me about this, though.
There's a perfectly logical explanation for this: part of Site 87 exists in two separate places at once because of shit the Multi-U department did back in the 80's. The part that contains 1348 is sealed off from the rest of the site to all but the guys in archaeology, and the entry to Site 87's 1348 containment can be opened and shut off at any time by Multi U in case of emergency.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to find a way to work that into an S & C Plastics tale.
Well, here it is, the big one. We both felt that the original version of the proposal ended up being too far from what we originally intended. This… this is pretty much it. We both poured our hearts into this one, I don't mind telling you.
Read on, and leave any comments that might come to mind. After all this time working on this, we want to hear what people think.
It's… perfect. I want so badly for this to be the canonical SCP-001, if such a thing can ever be decided upon.
Woah ho ho ho ho! This was not something I had envisioned whenever I thought about SCP-001, but just…damn.
Take this upvote, you crazed, masterful men, you.
forgiving and ending.
I love stuff like this.
Brings a tear to my eye.
