I've had this one floating around my head and sandbox for a week or so now, got some good reviews in chat, I'm curious to see how it does.
On an unrelated note, there was a weird draft already occupying this spot when I got to it. I have it in a collapsible under "WTF?" on my sandbox. Dunno whose it is or what language that is.
Wait, was this occupying this slot on the wiki? How did nobody notice that?
(I think the language is Czech by the way).
If it was created long enough ago during a period that something big was happening, it could have slipped by. Especially if it was tagged in such a way as to skip the lowest rated pages.
Would need to see the page history to know for sure though.

I… must admit this. This was a SCP I have made for a series of SCP tales we have been writing with my girlfriend for a while, and I had to put it into a SCP format. What better form to do it than on the page, and then take a screenshot of the preview page to have a legit looking SCP.
Now… I have misclicked on "post". Then I went to the chat and asked around how to delete a SCP, because I pretty much had no idea how to do so, since I never actually planned to write a SCP myself (I don't think I really am able so far to write a decent one). No answers.
Then I learned how to delete the scp AND HAD NO IDEA IT WOULD REMAIN THERE!

As I read along, I liked it more and more. Particularly the Scarlet King interview. Its funny, for some reason it reminds me of The Fourth Kind (with Milla Jojovitch) which is about alien abduction, missing time, etc…
I would strongly suggest, though, that you change the picture. I think it detracts from the article. It's too farcical

Throughout the game, the civilians will display body language indicating pleasure and enjoyment, including smiling faces, laughing, and excited speech.
I feel like this is a really good example of the clinical tone serving to enhance the creepiness of a scip.
I always like a good mystery in my SCPs, and this one is among the best I've seen. It uses folklore to great effect, is exceedingly well written, and is overall an excellent article. Well done.

It's not a 231 reference. CotSK is a very minor GOI (that we don't bother having an entry for, because of how minor they are), whose most notable accomplishment is 231. They're referred to in a number of other places, like the Horizon Initiative stuff. That's like calling a CotBG reference an 882 reference.
This is decent, though the Indian burial ground element feels poorly integrated with the rest of it.
The CotSK have only ever appeared in 231, and in Second Watch, in which they were attempting the same thing. One really doesn't go without the other.
And before it started getting usage elsewhere, the same could have been said about the CotBG.
Minor one-off cults have to start somewhere, and there is nothing else in the article referencing 231 at all.
As their original creator, I really don't want the Children to become a GOI. It was a name I came up with for 231 and was intended to only be associated with that SCP. My idea was that it was a one-off group who did something horrifying but were then wiped off the face of the earth.
Oh, I don't want them to either. I honestly mostly just liked the name, and assuming they're still around, 1271 could logically be motivated to place someone in its ranks.

What an incredibly silly reason to downvote. Not all cross-references are bad, and while you're free to vote whichever way you want, I'll thank you not to police the good ones. Just my opinion, though.
Except for the 30 GoI pileup at the end, this was pretty good. Was there a reason you felt it necessary to namedrop so many? Seems a bit excessive.
