I like this one.
New SCP, based on the question of "How would you, with sufficient technology, survive an SCP-1050 invasion?" I am hoping this will work as an example of "Crosslinking done right" and tie some things already on the site together in an interesting way.
[Thanks to Hornby, the author of SCP-1050, for feedback, as well as azzleflux. Also Quik and coil in the chat, for catching a few silly bits I edited out.]

This doesn't quite work for me. It's a fine sketch of a science fiction story, but it's not actually an SCP.
████m under the Antarctic ice, approximately 400 km from the South Pole
Why wouldn't both measurements be in km?
Probably because the structure isn't multiple kilometers beneath the ice.
It's a metallic disc with crystals that stores a conscious mind and takes over any individual it comes in contact with. Is the resemblance to SCP-963 intentional?
Edited due to missed struck out text
The successful creation of SCP-963-2 shortly after the discovery of SCP-1980 [DATA EXPUNGED]. It does not appear to be possible to recreate SCP-1980-3 or SCP-1980-1 templates using current human technology.
Huh. Now that you mention it, maybe 963 was based on these things?
"Man is the warmest place to hide.";)
I dunno. I like the concept, and I like some of the execution, but the last addendum seems completely unnecessary, and just muddles up the basic concept (Some aliens left their brains on discs that automatically download their personalities into people, and they did this to escape something worse).
It might also be better if you removed the cross-link to SCP-1050; the connection feels a bit forced, and it can be up to the reader to decide if the two are connected.
not nearly evolved enough.
Also, this is one of my pet peeves. :/

Originally, I had it blackboxed as SCP-████, but realized in chat that if you hadn't read 1050, you might be really confused. So I made it explicit. I actually liked it better the other way, but there is a lot going on in this SCP, so have been editing for clarity.

OK, how should I say it? The idea is that 14.5m years ago, there were no humans, but (I believe) something that ended up being the ancestor of both apes and humans. They were not smart enough to be hosts for SCP-1980-1.

Your current change works pretty well, but I also like just "Not compatible for transfer/melding/whatever-you-want-to-call-it." I was thinking it would be more ambiguous and leave readers to decide why we humans are compatible.
I love the cross-linking to SCP-1050 which is one of my favorite of all time…but I must agree that this attempt is more an outline for a story/tale then an SCP.
I would love to see this re-worked, though.
No vote for now.
A biological containment area, containing several primitive hominoids (SCP-1980-4) in suspended animation, as well as an entity (SCP-1980-5) closely resembling the description of a [REDACTED] within SCP-1050.
Never cross-reference an SCP which is better than yours.
I like this (and definitely am upvoting it). Lest anyone question, I did give blessing for this to implicitly or explicitly reference 1050.
Don't get me wrong, I like the possibility that the Foundation may have found more information that might have to do with 1050. That said, I have misgivings about the 1050 losing its ambiguity. In other words, in 1050 I try and clearly demarcate what the Foundation knows (fact) and what the Foundation thinks (speculation). If something comes out and attempts to definitively say "hey, this definitely [dis]proves this bit of speculation about 1050", I'm going to oppose it. So, I encourage making the apparent link a little more speculative - the Foundation can't know definitively that 1980-5 is anything like 1050's Destroyers. I'm not sure how to go about doing that, but that's my thoughts.
Also, I do not mind (or think it would detract) if you redact "1050" to the blackbox state. Just saying.
I'm reverting the link to blackboxes. It is speculation…they can't know, but someone can say, "Hey, this thing sounds like what was described in 1050!" Maybe it is, and maybe it isn't.
