It's been a great time! I really liked reading the article in the forums—I almost never critique a piece twice in the forums, and this was a rare exception for me as a reviewer.

Many, many thanks to everyone in chat who read this through and talked with us about how to tweak the writing and the content. I hope the current version is an enjoyable read!

And big thanks to IAmTheOoga for being patience with my hectic schedule, and hashing out the concept over several days in the sandbox. I really enjoyed working on this, and it's a departure from my usual sort of article and it's been a great experience.

Hey I remember this article from a while back. I really loved the concept, noticed a few flaws, and I had hoped that it would eventually be improved upon.

Glad to see its improved version finally come to fruition! Great job.

The shopped barred owl photo really makes the article for me. Also, it's ironic considering barred owls are the most adorable bird species IRL, so good job managing to make them seem creepy.

EDIT: I just found the original photo by googling "barred owl antenna" and discovered that it's neither photoshopped nor of a barred owl (I knew the shape and size of that head was a little off) but still, really clenches the piece for me.

You know, even though it refers to owls, the general cyclic revenge and vengeance-beyond-death theme made me think of The Crow.

+1 - I love the dread, as well as general anomalous vigilante stories. Justice and all that.

Huh… Me never thought this is co-authored by Zyn, rarely seen him/her writes murder monsters before…

Anyway, me very likes this one, instead of focusing how dangerous SCP-3386, you guys decided to focus on its origins. And that image is fantastic! +1

I'm definitely not well-versed in writing scary stuff, so it's reassuring that the story approach is well-received. Co-authoring this was definitely a unique experience for me!

I knew when I offered to co-author the piece that I really wanted to keep that image in the article. I'm happy you like the image!
