"gonnae come and have an empty”.
Maybe the word "empty" has a different slang meaning in the region I live in, (Scottish btw), but here an "empty" is when your parents are away for a day or more, so you have a free house. Should you decide to have a house party while they are away, it will be referred to as an "empty". Just wondering if my lols were unintentional.
Oh yeah, that's what I meant, being also Scottish. It's slightly estranged from that definition because that's the nature of slang terms, but it's definitely intended to evoke that.
Think about this. If in most empties the house gets trashed, wallpaper torn down and that general sort of thing, how would the house itself feel about it?
Ahh I see now. I assume that refers to the Chaos Insurgency guys that had occupied it previously and were doing tests with the house.
I'd consider maybe adding the definition in some form, because alot of people that are non-scots probably won't get it.
Is it possible to add a footnote that mentions this? I didn't get it until I read this.

'parents, carers are guardians are temporarily absent.' Error?
I don't see the problem with "parents, carers or guardians". It's the normal way of officially saying "the person who is looking after this child at the moment".
That's a cultural difference thing. "Carers" is not a term used in America. "Parent or gaurdian" is the usual phrasing. Sometimes the term "caregiver" is used, but that more often refers to a nurse or other professional being paid for their services.
And "caretaker" is someone paid to maintain a building or property, it is never used to refer to someone taking care of people.
I kind of feel bad for the house… it's obviously traumatized by whatever the Insurgency did to it, and it doesn't want to be left alone again. +1
I LOVE the SCP in itself, and the idea that it's somehow been traumatized by the CI (that may just be my obsession with the Foundation's groups of interest speaking, though)
However, the containment procedures are really really vage; I mean, you /do/ say there's a site, but you have to describe the site using much more details: remember, the Foundation plans for breakouts, and if the site is breached, they need to rebuild it according to this specific document

Presumebly the site architecture is on a supplementary document. This is just an executive summary of the scip and how it's contained; it's not an extensive summary of every piece of information to do with it.
I can explicitly state that it's on a supplementary document, if you like. I'd rather not go into detail about it in the page itself, since it would be quite boring.
When you said breakouts all I could imagine was O-5 getting a phonecall..

Also, off topic, can someone explain the difference between casualties and fatalities?
Just a few clarifications; pardon if I'm just being thick:
1. It's a residential building, made entirely of over 400 parts? Some of these parts are things like furniture and sheet metal, but other parts are forks and animal parts. So, isn't 400 parts kinda low, or is my estimation ability poor? (Or is it just not necessarily a large residence).
2. "the vocal apparatus of the residence at one point provided information on various animal species" refers to the human vocal cords stapled right? Are you trying to imply that that was used back when lady used to live there? Or is that meant to be ambiguous?
3. "prior to CI involvement, the structure consisted entirely of over four-hundred (400) living animal parts." So, the forks, the furniture…those were added after the Chaos Insurgency became involved, right? Oh, and their involvement led to the 400 dropping down to less than 50 living parts?
Correct, it's a small cottage on the top of a hill somewhere in a northern Scottish island.
It's believed that the vocal cords used to act like a audio encyclopedia and give out information on animals.
And that is to say, in blunt terms, the CI mutilated this house and stripped out some of the animals it used to be made of in order to experiment on them. So that the thing didn't collapse, they stapled, nailed and otherwise shoved bits of whatever objects were to hand in the empty spaces. It's a bit like ripping out an arm and shoving a table leg so that you don't bleed out.

If someone could get me an image of a cow with a vocal cord stapled to it tied to a table glued to a big wall of furniture and office supplies, I would gladly and thankfully put it in. But it would require a whole lot of photoshopping or time on Google, so I'm not really looking for one. It's not a necessity.
