Take my upvote you magnificent bastard.
"How- how do you feel?" Valdez finally managed to ask, breathlessly. Everyone else in the room was silent.
I'm surprised the response wasn't "POWER OVERWHELMING".
I knew when you mentioned this to me on 3688 discussion that it would be glorious and it most definitely was.
The Holy Warrior walked. It had been a long time since he'd walked this far, but he was used to walking nonetheless.
Although you changed chaos insurgency into serpents hand which is cool

Fuck you, and all your kinetoglyphs.
+1.
(I want to see the explodey one)
AND IF THEY DONT DANCE THEN THEY AINT NO FRIENDS OF MINE
"For the last time, Jackie, please stop calling it the Fusion Dance. I'm sure the process reminds you of all your cartoons but I can't stress enough how serious this is."
Dragon Ball, Steven Universe, or both?
I don't really care for the characterization of the Hand in this, as it seems a tad too "mundane violence" for their usual tastes (hearing that it was originally written as the CI makes it make a little more sense, though). That said, the SH is a very loose collective, so there's no real reason why this particular sect couldn't be like that.
I still just really love this entire concept you've introduced, and it tickles me that you were brave enough to actually include Fusion as a thing. I look forward to more dance-based duels in the future.

Okay.
The thing I don't get about 3688 — other than why the hell the Foundation would use something like this (Serpentman was right in being flabbergasted it wasn't locked in a box) — is how this is useful. Sure, the Fusion happens once and then you get a loyal giant. Making a large, stationary, impenetrable bubble is useful if you don't have anyone advancing from behind it.
But invincibility and duplication: those require constant movement. And, as far as I can tell, staying in one place while dancing. How is this even useful?
Ah, looks like I wasn't super clear with the duplication, then. You do the duplcation dance once (for as long as you can), and then once you are finished you have duplicates for an hour that you control as extensions of your own body. You dont need to keep doing the dance for the duplicates to remain. MacMallan is hiding in the shield because as long as she is safe, it doesn't matter what happens to the duplicates.
The invincibility, you are right, you have to remain stationary to use it, which obviously limits its usefulness.
I suddenly feel like I have to memorize the rules for a video game to understand a tale. ._.
Who says you have to understand? Just let the rhythm be your guide.
Staying in one place while being invincible is useful for protecting yourself against attacks.
