The school's layout reminds my of my old school. Not sure how I feel about that.
The final step of Project 3970-θ is to commence immediately.
What did they do to this sweet little building?

My headcanon is that 3970 was a child attending the school that was killed and his spirit possessed the school and communicates through the chalkboards. How it learns so quickly? Spirit magic or somethin i guess xP
Great wholesome read and good luck in the future.

The Holy Warrior walked. It had been a long time since he'd walked this far, but he was used to walking nonetheless.
I am relatively sure Endren is in the same camp with you on that one. (perhaps Endren himself can enlighten you more) Personally, I think it came from the "spirit" of the building. Like how the children of the building imbue the building with emotional energy. It is the same reason it can learn so fast, the idea of learning is also imbued in the building. I know this sounds mumbo-jumbo-y, but that is how I think it happened.
Either way, The previous SCiP in the building awoke 3970 to it's new environment. It's first memories are the Foundation, and how they operate. So it observed and then praticed. Over time, intruders entered, and 3970 dealt with them the only way it knew how. Containing the threat.
This is just our own headcanon. Who knows? There may be another explanation.
I like the idea of emotion creating personality a lot, especially in the sense of a school. So many people learn and grow from a school that if a school developed a supernatural personality it would also grow and learn very fast like its past inhabitants. However, I am also a sucker for spirits possessing things and bettering themselves from other individuals traits and actions so i'm conflicted on which to believe here. Either way it's very obvious that you have made something really great here and it almost has limitless potential.

Always nice to see more co-authored articles on the site! You two did a great job with the revisions. While I typically don't like casual notes in articles, I think the ending to this piece was a well-deserved nice touch, since there are definitely times when things work out well for the Foundation, and it makes sense that they'd want to celebrate those good times.
+1 from me here.
Lots of anomalous schools on this site. Also lots of anomalies that make you go
(SCP-3970 creates a drawing of a smiling stick-figure in a lab-coat labeled "Dr. Underwood" standing inside a large rectangle labelled "Me".)
My heart.

HNNNNNNNG.
In all seriousness, this is endearing and wonderful, but I also don't know what McKnight is up to and I don't think I like what he's doing. The tiny bit of mystery sticking there definitely makes me enjoy it just that much more.
Erasing because I have poor communication skills and unintentionally said things that people find rude. I apologize to anyone I offended.
NanayaMode, not only is this crit snarky and rude, it's completely unhelpful as well. If you're "too lazy" to leave constructive criticism, being mean-spirited and sarcastic is not a good stand-in for actual critique that assists the authors. Don't pull this again.
I was not being sarcastic. I actually thought that for a while while I was reading. It was not meant to be snarky, rude, or mean-spirited. I'll delete it if you want me to.
@Toa_Vine: I reached the conclusion when I had the following information:
1. The skip is a Foundation Site
2. The skip is sapient
3. The skip communicates through text of some sort
4. The skip is learning
Later information made this hypothesis improbable.
To follow up on what my esteemed colleague said:
I'm too lazy to give constructive criticism
This is incredibly rude. If you don't have time to give feedback, don't. Being 'too lazy to give constructive feedback' literally violates the crit policy.
I really like this! I thought the same as LordBlaze when I first read it, but then it said it didn't have a name… Just the right amount of creepy. Seems a little odd that the foundation would put so much trust in the entity, however, as the school has effectively been given free rein over the containment of a ton of anomalies. Could be potential for some later stories?
Also, quick nitpick- Glacier Peak is in the Cascade range, not the Rockies :)
EDIT- on a closer reread, free rein might not be the best term, as it doesn't know what is being contained within it- still, it holds the power in the situation no matter what it thinks. Also, the condition of the skip being out of the loop on the anomalous properties might change, as it is always learning… anyway. +1
