An overwhelming thank you to those who helped me alter and fix this SCP as it shifted from a concept to a fully-fledged article. Special thanks to Zyn, Captain Kirby, LoudSpaghet, and everyone else who critiqued my work!
Here are some of the things I said in chat, that I'm not sure if you've seen.
Things I like:
I think it has a very nice sense of progression, and ollie is effectively sinister in spite of his speech patterns.
Problems:
This is not a whole lot more than an anomaly that makes people into the most negative caricature of furries. I feel like adding a few more, weirder symptoms that clearly differentiate victims of this anomaly from passionate, non-anomalous furries would make this feel more creative.
The final log is excessively vague. I understand what you were going for, but the people writing up the report would know what Perry was doing to the MTF guy, and how said MTF guy turned out. Withholding it is a bit cheesy. Also it sort of strains credulity that a deranged furry would be able to get the upper-hand on an elite MTF agent.
Overall, +1, but a sort of narrow one.
What sort of anomalous symptoms would you suggest? I've added a much more distinctive connection to Olliefox throughout the article.
And indeed, I hadn't seen it; chat glitches and wouldn't let me back in. I do appreciate that you posted your critique here!
I'm not sure what I would add.
I actually think I'm sort of warming up to the article, it's a straight forward concept executed well. My first criticism isn't bothering me anymore. Maybe I wasn't in the best mood last night or something.
We need an actually conclusion saying what happened between Perry and the MTF guy, and I think it needs to be more clearly stated that this behavior is abnormal beyond perceived by normal society. I am in a fringe aspect of the furry community and well…we don't appreciate being treated as degenerates, and this article, fictional as it is, would just affirm the belief in people. I think you need to mention eroding of perception between what is reality and fiction.
The only way I could see it going to anomalous degrees would be either that the resulting memetic effects mutate the individual into the "furry" before degrading them even further into an actual animal or something.
Something that makes it a little more frightening, while not reaching into simple mental degradation. Y'know make the symptoms be more than just mental, let's go a bit physical as well.
Otherwise, it does show the fear of something going too far. I like it. Would love to see more, but would also love to see it reach slight unrealistic horror territory. Just a suggestion.
and may only affect individuals with no prior involvement in the furry fandom
So I'm inoculated already! Whew!

Do you think the foundation hires researchers who are furries just to study this Scp safely.
In my experience there's an existing overlap in the demographics.
They literally had problems with 953 (the Kumiho lady), and her apparent murder of an Agent Gallagher, well to quote: "any personnel found to have current or prior ties to the "furry" or "otaku" communities are to be immediately reassigned to other projects. - O5-██" There are likely already furries in the Foundation, so i doubt they have to specifically hire for this SCP, lol.
That final log was deeply unsettling, I love the sense of progression here.
Definite +1.
Also
55% of Stage 5 individuals experienced eviction and/or homelessness
is written in the stage 4 description, so it should say Stage 4.
oh
i-i think im safe from it
OK THEN well this was…interesting. I liked how you took something as innocent as the furry fandom and turned it into a hive mind. Now, since I enjoy this fandom, this had more of an effect on me personally. I can't say the same would happen to people that aren't in the furry fandom, but I'm sure people would still find this creepy. Especially that video log ahh. So…

Well, it happened. It finally fucking happened. We have a furry fandom SCP now, good job.
And I'm sitting here reading the stage symptoms and how it turns people into fanatic fans and then babyfurs and then otherkin, and I'm just going where's the goddamn anomaly?
olliefox: 3: what
I'm feeling so goddamn attacked right now, I hate it. +1
Dylan99: that's actually pretty cool
Dylan99: but i'm gonna stick to anime.
Words to live by.
