D-11424, your legendary status is sealed.

I'd like to thank MaliceAF, Weryllium, DarkStuff, ratsy, Apoplectic, Croquembouche, stormbreath, Penquinizer, and probably some other people I am forgetting right now for looking this over.

In case you were curious, the bit about the walruses and the vikings is a reference to SCP-3379 which also prominently features D-11424.

My only issue here was that the lack of dialogue tags when multiple characters were talking made it hard to keep track of who was who, but other than that this was a fun tale.

Yeah… I generally am not a fan of dialogue tags, so even in multiperson conversations I try to get away with as few tags as possible. I'll see if I can make that more clear without tagging every line.

So 11424 is like the SCP's Dread Pirate Roberts?

And I guess this tells us how the 11424 of SCP-3379 becomes the 11424 of Omega-K… who somehow survived pretty much unscathed after

having her fucking head cut off and only reattached many years later… which in context wouldn't have been fatal anyway, but certainly shouldn't have been recoverable and should have caused serious brain damage…

and is therefore a fairly worthy successor.

When I finally remembered my reaction was similar to the other D-class:

This is excellent. In fact, the tale is so well-written that you can enjoy it even if you don't know anything about D-11424 (like me when I first read it). Upvoted.
