I don't think the foundation could manage that while the thing is on Earth, unless you change it "enclosed dark area". Even then, how could they make sure there weren't any 23m caves 1 km underground? Changing it to "enclosed artificial dark area" would make it managable, but that would still require its own dedicated site.
However, the song will cease within 10-20 seconds if a witness or witnesses attempt to whistle, hum, sing, or otherwise engage with SCP-1219's tune, and the witness(es) will be dismembered (stripped primarily of organs related to vocalization)
- What if they just talk over the whistle, totally unrealted to the tune? Or say something like "Who's there?"
- What if they sing a different song?
- What if they turn on a recording of the same song?
SCP-1219 has been found capable of instantaneous transfer within an area of approximately 12km.

Why is the fact that the subjects appologize something that's restricted?
The first should be 'occupied dark area.' 1219 may exist in those caves while in its passive state (or in, for example, unoccupied offices), but seems only to manifest in its active form in occupied spaces. I'll correct that as well as the other distance-related error.
I considered including a test log that would answer those three questions and others - in fact, it's written up - but it seemed unwieldy. If you truly believe the article would benefit from the supplementary material, then I may post it.
It's restricted so as not to potentially pollute the pool of test subjects with the information in advance. Results will be more scientifically pure that way.

But the test subjects aren't going to be reading the database entry, and the researchers know to not give information to the test subjects.

I like this, but I need to love it in order to +1. For the exact same reasons Khym mentioned, I'll refrain from voting for now. My biggest gripe is the near=impossible containment procedures.

On the good side, tone was solid, and the audio log definitely read like something from one of those shows.
