This is something I've been meaning to write up for awhile. This week two people asked me about how to set up a collab sandbox, so I figured I'd put my experience of co-authoring 22 pages (SCPs, a GoI format, and a guide) to use and share some things I've learned.

Big, big thanks to Dexanote, Pedantique, shaggydredlocks, Decibelle, and fieldstone for looking over this in chat.

Special thanks to Galaxy-Class, who gave me a very thorough review in chat!

If anyone has any other questions about co-authoring or suggestions for additions to this page, feel free to ask them here.

Ooh, this is super useful, especially since co-authoring looks like it's a lot of fun!

One thing I always wondered about — do you know how things turn up as co-authored when linked by Jarvis on chat? Is that just programmed in by the technical team?

Staff handles page attributions, yeah. So long as the co-authors let us know that something is co-authored, we can handle the database and chatbot stuff!

This may be an opportunity for me to cooperate with other members, while I was inactive for idk 2 years??? I created some really cool ideas. My goal is to hopefully find someone that likes my ideas and wants to work with me (because I'm terrible at writing). Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time due to university, but that doesn't stop me from trying.

Not only is this a good opportunity for me, but this can be useful for newer members which want to create their first successful SCP. I'm not sure but I've got a theory that this can lead to fewer coldposts.

I'm of the same mind, to an extent. There's a lot of coldposted content that could have been avoided had a buddy just told a new writer "uh dude, no. That's actually a terrible idea."
