COMPETITIVE ESCHATOLOGY YES
Ahem. That aside, the only real gripe I had with it was the formatting. I think it would be better if the monsters thoughts were in italics or something. Also his talking at the end is a little underwhelming.
The return of my favourite canon! I was hovering over a no-vote until I saw that you added the italics and I’m glad to say that I feel confident that I can upvote the newest tale in this wonderful canon of death.
This is a really great addition to the Competitive Eschatology canon, and in all honesty it needs more attention. Hopefully the new Dooms Day contest going on will remind people to check back on this canon.
How did I miss this? Always happy to see new CE stuff. I might actually go and write another tale or two for this one. Glad to see it's not been abandoned.

Literally the only gripe I have is the little collapsible at the end. I feel like it doesn't add anything here. That said, this is easily the best take on a sympathetic devil I've ever seen. +1 for absolute excellence
