Not all authors put out spoilers/explanations, but it's definitely not frowned upon when they do. Many who do will either put 'em in a spoiler-marked collapsible in the comments, post them in the forum thread titled The Leak, or both.

I don't get the relevance to SAMSARA, candidates for the neural gestalts at that stage were special operators. Why would they be looking at little kids?

The MA/CA ratio numbers don't really make sense. A 1 (i.e. 1:1) would signify the same mental age as physical age. A 10 would signify a 10:1 ratio, I.E. a mental age of 60 in a 6 year old.
The current number doesn't appear to be a ratio at all. I like the skip but I couldn't stop thinking about that the whole way through. The current numbers would work well if you just threw in a decimal, i.e. 8.04 instead of 804.
MA/CA is actually a real thing, though I think it's fallen out of favor since I was a kid. The result is actually MA ÷ CA × 100, so 100 is the "normal." I'm going to consider changing it since it bothered you.
I dunno. I mean, I like the story that's told, full stop. But the intelligence tests are just letters and numbers with no meaning; it took me well past the halfway point to realize I could even glean information from them. And "guy reincarnates as kid" just seems so… pedestrian? I mean, yeah, that's an anomaly, it's anomalous, but I nevertheless found myself wondering why the Foundation would even care. Looking at it from the outside, this is a kid under the delusion that he's a sixty-year-old man. And he slowly loses that delusion. It just seems hard to call this an anomaly worth containment. I think part of the anomaly is that the kid retains the personality and memories of a person the kid would have no way of knowing existed. I think the first log also implies that the Foundation was just "investigating" anomalous activity during the first interview, since the doc's clearly skeptical. Maybe some more bitey proof was discovered O.S.?

FWIW, didn't confuse me all that much. It's easy to see the numbers are getting lower as time goes on, but I can't speak for anyone else.
I like this article. Its sad, but hopeful if that makes sense.
