I like this, but I don't want to see people spamming threads with it, or treating it like a substitute for actual criticism and commentary on an SCP. Got it?

If we wind up with a bunch of critiques and commentary popping up that all raise the same objections in a suspiciously similar order, that's still okay, right? I mean, we can use it as a checklist without actually posting it in the form of a checklist, yes?

I have an issue with this. Specifically, the implication that this is not always the case. All combat scenes could be improved "Yakety Sax" playing in the background. Also, farting and/or other goofy sound effects when someone falls.
I have yet to find a single video that hasn't been improved by Yakety Sax, including the JFK funeral procession.
I know this one's old, but I used it in a Let's Play video I did with some friends of Left 4 Dead 2. Kept failing a mission, so sped up the footage for one of the videos since I'd already shown a few failed attempts in a previous video. Yakety Sax does indeed improve everything.
Downvoted this essay for:
[X] Encouraging lazy and unhelpful criticism.
Under site rules, feedback is supposed to be "in the spirit of constructive criticism or conversation". This does not encourage that, and, in my view at least, actively discourages it.
Also, if you're going to post something like this, the least you could do is actually end your sentences in the checklist with periods. In other words, [X] you forgot to proofread.
Heh, I forgot to proofread. Fixed that.
Also, this is a joke page (and I added a footnote to that effect). It's not actually intended to be used (and the Staff have already said not to use it).
It does have a serious point though, which is to list the reasons 90% of new SCPs get downvoted.

I love this, as long as it's never used in place of actual critiques, because it made me laugh a whole lot. :P
