I like the use of the creepy Garfield comic, but are we going to have any sort of licensing issue using it as part of the story?

I figured it would be okay since I never actually use the Garfield strips in the article itself. If I'm mistaken about that, I'd be happy to remove the direct link and just very firmly encourage the reader to seek them out, since they're not hard to find at all.

Copyright nerd answer (note: not a Staff member): because the article only contains a link to the comic strip and does not reproduce its contents in any way, it shouldn't be considered copyright infringement. Precedent on this: a decade or so ago there was a legal firm (name escapes me) that sued web forums for linking to news articles; all of their cases were thrown out of court and the firm shut down.

The story arc, referred to in this article as Supplementary Document 3166-1, was a series of strips released before Halloween of 1989 where Garfield found himself in the abandoned remains of his house, with barely any ounce of patented Garfield humor to be seen.

This is almost as dark as the "Garfield without Garfield" strips. Well done!

I particularly liked that Jim Davis has been one of the targets.

How about Garfield without Garfield, but this entire SCP? No comic strips, just a pile of mosquito-spit lasagna, harassing and feeding itself to people that make lasagna not exist.

The hits just keep coming. We had collections of old Garfield comics in our house growing up, and that arc always freaked me out as a kid.

The mainlist feels a little more complete now that we can say we have “the Garfield one.”

I, much to my continuing shame¹, was a massive Garfield fan as a child, and that arc also freaked me out.
