The Plot Thickens!

Alright, Part II is now live. I wanted to get this up sooner rather than later, since I'm going to do some traveling here in a bit, and likely won't get Part III up until mid-March. As you can see, some familiar faces from the AR series have made their return, and the pieces are beginning to move into place.

The name came at the suggestion of A Random Day, and refers to a computer term for memory that can be retrieved even after a computer is power cycled. I found the term fitting given the nature of Anderson's current predicament, and the involvement of a particular Prometheus Labs project, and the primary setting of the Wanderer's Library.

Special thanks to Modern_Erasmus, DrMagnus, SunnyClockwork, A Random Day, Zhange, Taffeta, djkaktus, GreenWolf, and The Great Hippo for all their feedback in the drafting stage.

Extra special thanks to TwistedGears for once again letting me use Agent Navarro for nefarious purposes.

This definitely addresses the issues I brought up during drafting.

And god fucking dammit, I wish I could write like you for the Alchemy series.

This was enjoyable. The revelation (perhaps perhaps perhaps) of the villain's motive not being "explode and/or exploit the world" was an interesting one. If I had to complain, I would say that it felt like it was a bit of a cavalcade of characters from previous entries into the series, half of whom were introduced and dismissed with a line of dialogue.

I absolutely fucking adore how utterly nonchalant Navarro was here. Like… yes, just yes. Oh, and this is an outstanding tale.

This is the kind of stuff I like.

I love it when a story isn't just all focused on the main characters, and some random thing happens that remind you that yes, its an entire world.

Couple of returning faces I did not expect to see again. Glad to see Howell seems to be doing alright, and it's neat to see it worked out between Jessie and Desmond.
