This is a functional rewrite of SCP-071, the Degenerative Succubus, originally written on the SCP Editthis Wiki by Anonypoet aka Scroton, and transferred to the SCP Wikidot Wiki by Far2.

I deliberated on approach and considered incorporating the folklore description of succubi as devils that took semen from men and planted it in women, but decided to simply make a direct update of the original post with updated writing standards.

Edit: I removed the unnecessary reference addenda to SCP-112-ARC, as I felt they were no longer relevant.

What if it was exposed to an asexual person. Someone who has no sexual desires at all? Would it react as if it were unobserved or still try to seduce them ?

It might turn into the person's strongest romantic desire, since that's the next tier of attraction.

If the person was aroace, 071 would probably turn into something that they really want to cuddle (stuffed animal, puppy, best friend, etc.)

I'm just guessing here. It would be a good idea to put an asexual instance in the article, though.

Weird idea: what if sex-repulsed aces forced SCP-071 into its actual base form and made it extremely uncomfortable? If 071 "feeds" on lust, it would logically be "poisoned" by anti-sexual thoughts and feelings; if the nearest viewer had no ideal mate or fetish to copy, 071 would be too confused to keep any shape but its natural one.

It occurs to me: Age is basically impossible to determine to the year. Beyond the first couple years, there's a lot more variability in how fast people develop. I'd change this to something like "later assuming the form of a juvenile male subject".

When approached by Medical Technician M█████ to ascertain cessation of life signs, SCP-071 assumed the form of a naked man resembling R███ D███████, a member of the janitorial staff. Remote monitoring of life signs when reintroduced to D-8762 confirmed a complete lack of life signs.

Though that does bring up my problem with the article as it stands… do we have any D-Class with even vaguely normal sexual fantasies? I understand that we're documenting the unusual ones, but still… the fact that even the random D-Class we chose to check if it was still alive was a pedophile strikes me as a bit over the top.

Keep in mind that these are the cases worthy of note in an overview document. I imagine that there's hundreds of pages of experiment logs that basically consist of "Johnny Depp. Kim Basinger. Sally in Accounting. Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp. Angelina Jolie. A… dog? Okay, that one goes in the overview."

This is correct. One of Scroton's rewrites included several pages of logs. It came across very poorly, so I kept them out.

This. When I wrote the logs I had the idea of a lot of D-Class having "DD Pornstar" tastes; the kind of stuff that would get pinned up on the cell walls of normal prisons. But having 15 entries essentially consisting of "DD Pornstar" does not good writing make.

No, that wasn't the intended meaning of the addendum. Once the corpse came up, they kept the D-class in there to keep 071 from changing again, and sent in an orderly to check 071 for life. That said, you can also simply assume that the Foundation intentionally sends in D-class with screwed up fetishes to test the limits of 071's metamorphic capabilities.

Experimentation with SCP-071 may only be performed with permission from at least two (2) Level 4 Site Directors,

1) Needing permission from two different site directors seems weird.

2) There being any level 3 site directors also seems weird.

Downvoted, as I did for both scroton's original and his rewrite. This inspires considerably less "ick" in me than either-in a good way, to clarify-but the idea at the heart of it doesn't have a strong hook for me, putting aside the fact that "sex demons" as a broader genre gets my hackles up. The execution is solid for what it is, but it's still what it is, so to speak.

I preferred the sheep to the retriever (because it reminds me of that joke "Do they call me John the Bridger Builder? No. But you shag one sheep…") but otherwise a solid rewrite.
