I honestly really didn't like it. There seemed to be no reason to namedrop Talloran, Kondarki and Glass other than to namedrop them (the names could've been completely changed and the story wouldn't suffer), Curly boils down to Heteronormative Crusader Fat Bastard with no other personality beyond that, and the entire story doesn't seem to specifically belong in the SCP universe at all (Which is not bad, don't get me wrong, but it's not really my thing).

I might be missing something, but I really can't see whatever is making people upvote this. -1.

It's likely just upvoted for it being competently well written, the name drops, and this being posted on the subreddit as a tale about 3999.

tfw I come for Talloran and stay around for absolutely excellent writing and kind of violent confrontation with own fears. +1, but I'm still uncomfortable and I love it.

Yeah, I don't see this line of conversation being productive for anyone.

Seeing as how I believe this genuinely stems from a continued behavior of immaturity, please be more conscious of your words and surroundings and act in a more mature manner when talking about subjects like this. Fantastically written, both horrifying and heart-breaking. I think there's some thematic parallels with SCP-4012.

I feel there's a wealth of references and meaning here that I'm missing, but that's just motivating me to reread.
