This is the discussion related to the wiki page SCP-1777.
This idea is actually not my favorite thing in the world, and while the execution is basically as good as it can possibly get, the core concept still doesn't grab me. It's good, just not for me. Neutral vote.

I really want to downvote this but can't quite justify it. There's something to this idea, but I can't help but feel like the meat of it is missing.
Also, out of curiosity, how was the Latin derived?
I think they'd reclassify it as Neutralized rather than Decommissioned, as the latter implies that it was destroyed by the Foundation.
Also, if SCP-1777-2 hasn't necessarily demonstrated any anomalous properties and isn't really contained, I personally doubt it would be classified as an SCP. And, in my mind, they'd list the sword as "awaiting classification pending determination of anomalous properties" rather than classifying it as an SCP before deciding whether or not it's anomalous.
As for the concept… hm. It's an interesting idea, but it's not really working for me in this form. I can't tell if it's because of the execution or just the concept butting up against the SCP format. On the whole, I don't particularly like this, so Imma downvote.
Also, formalized the footnotes into Wikidot formatting. Now you can hover over the numbers and shit, it's p. neat.
EDIT: I think Lumancer got it a bit. It's missing a lot of meat.

I like it. I'm not sure more meat would do it good, this works as it is for me.
Should the visitor be disinclined to believe the cover story, use of stun guns and amnesiacs are approved.
