Hey, so I figure we could use something like this for the lazy (me) and clueless (me again) among us.

This is to be a collection of different reusable pieces of format that users can use for their SCP articles. It's open for contributions, so we can accrue more as fresh content is produced.

Thanks a whole bunch for this. Now I don't have to go to How to Write an SCP every time I want to copy and paste the beginning of an interview log.

This is quite a nice addition. That being said, it is equally important to note that it is not exhaustive. Users are indeed free to explore the limits of what Wikidot has to offer, and create more styles for its myriad works.

Still have a hard time figuring out what this offers over the Wiki Syntax/Advanced Formatting pages, but this is still a fine resource nonetheless. Those three pages contain the sum total of all human knowledge.

Joking aside, I suppose one difference would be that this is a collaborative page that can amass a plethora of format techniques.

eh, me n Magnus's essays are Basic Stuff and Less Basic Stuff, and this one's more of a specific type of formatting

I guess like. Mine's the instructions on the back of a box of Hungry Jack mashed potatoes, Magnus's is a full recipe for garlic mashed potatoes with rosemary and thyme, and Shaggy's is a microwaveable single-serve tub of mashed potatoes?

What exactly are you trying to use? A collapsible?

I went ahead and updated the 'warning box'. The background image was a link that pointed at something djkaktus hosted a long time ago, but is no longer there; I replaced it with an image that closely mimics (to the best of my memory) what it was (a mostly-transparent SCP logo).

I'm also going to go back into my old skips and make the correction — I'd suggest anyone who uses this formating do the same. Either use the URL I provided (it links to a file on my author page, which I won't be deleting any time soon), or download the file and upload it to your page to use it. Here's a link to the background *.png in question!
