And we're live! This is the first writing contest the site has had in quite a while, and it's a new format that I'm hoping to do again in the future. I would really, really, really like people's input on this type of contest - ranging from the way it's scheduled to the themes to the way it was judged - because I'm hopeful that we can make this a yearly event!
Update slash clarification to the rules: no collabs allowed! You can get as much critique from as many people as possible, but only one author credit per entry!
THE 72-HOUR JAM CONTEST BEGINS IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS.
BE THERE, OR BE SQUARE!
May as well call it Coldfest—you know, from coldpost and fest? No one? Fine.
Would probably help if you add projected timeframe when the theme is probably announced, so that the contestant know when to be on watch.
Done! The contest will begin at 12:01 AM (EST) on February 17 and end at 12:01 AM (EST) on February 20.
I think I might give this a shot. I have only ever posted one tale and it was deleted because it was terrible and I have a few SCPs I am working on slowly because of my procrastination habits. Having a 24 hour time limit might encourage me to actually finish something.
