Hopefully this doesn't suffer from an AWCY? backlash. I got the idea for it when reading about the connection between Surrealism and the Black Delilah murder that I posted on the AWCY? thread I started in the forums.

Also, I was thinking about blacking out the specifics about Dali, since I usually do when referencing RL, but it struck me that it would have been a bit too coy, given the picture and the name of this.

ADDED: I also didn't tag this with AWCY? since their involvement is intended to be ambiguous.

The thing itself is pretty good, but what does it is David Orwell and the potential Are We Cool Yet? connection, because that you have captured completely the attitude I imagine Are We Cool Yet? take towards everything, not just Dali. If it is Are We Cool Yet?, this is Are We Cool Yet? done right.

This is a very different minotaur than what I'm used to.

I do like it, and it's probably one of the best or most literary AWCY inserts I've seen. I don't care for rape-as-horror or rape-as-drama, though, and there's quite a bit more random-squick in the first addendum. I like it, but not upvote-like it.

Well, believe it or not, the Rape/Torture/Humiliation isn't gratuitous. This is based in large part on this article. There were some rather squicky misogynistic ideas running through the heads of the surrealists. (They really liked them some Marquis de Sade.)

Evidently, this was not the case. However, this was a really and you managed to avoid any booby traps that usually ruin SCP's.

I found myself confused, bored, and more confused when reading this. What's the statement? What's the purpose? Why did the interactions of 1800-1 and 1800-2 increase in physical violence/depravity?

I might be a minority on this one but I didn't like it because it seemed rather pointless for an AWCY? entry.

I must be tired, missing out on this, but it definitely is better in there, if for nothing else than suspension of disbelief purposes.
Foundation researchers aren't expected to be fluent in X lanugages, and any inscription like this could be crucial in working out WTF is going on. The devil lies in the details.

The addendum are what really make this. I don't find the object itself too terribly interesting but you presented it well, especially in the interview.
