An attempt at doing dice that don't have random effects. Feel free to give me your comments and tell me if there's anything that could use editing, rephrasing or deleting.
Does the dice topic better than most, but I still don't like the concept too much. No vote, but good job!
TheLonging and deValmont, anything you see that could be changed to win you over?
You know what, I just read through it again, and the last interview log clinched it. I must have skimmed it a bit the first time I read it, but that's really nice. +1
I don't like dice SCP in general. Even with amazing writing, the concept can't be saved for me. Sorry. Still better than vast majority of dice SCP though.
The effect seems obvious from the dice, again, a dice SCP that's based purely on luck. The execution here has been flat out that, which doesn't make it interesting. The hook you have here has already been expected, given the dice and effect. It's not bad, but somewhat boring.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
I tried to steer away from the idea that the dice themselves were in some way sentient, but would that have made it more attractive to you?
Oh, please no. A random-number generator that has such profound influence over a human's mind, to the point of overriding autonomic functions, is quite freaky enough, I would think. Making it sentient would just be over the top.
While there's a luck element involved (you roll dice, natch), this has no luck effect. That is, it's not, "pick up this die and soon you become lucky!" "Roll the dice and the number makes you do stuff!" I think I stand corrected on my previous assessment of dice SCPs.
That said, I still hope there are no more.
I liked the concept (especially since it's a dice SCP that isn't COMPLETELY random in what it does)
Then those logs. The shrunken "should I breathe?" might not be in a "proper scientific report", but considering the fact that it's the transcription of what can be assumed to be the literal last bit of air this poor bastard would ever have…

No vote. It is not a very interesting concept to me, but I must say that this is typed out very well. I also like the one bit at the end of the page.
This. It's inevitable that eventually, someone will pull off a new and interesting take on an SCP cliche, and this is one of them. +1
