This is a question prompted by a recent exchange I had about my articles Excerpts Regarding St. Sophia and The Parables of Pseudo-Nadox, which I originally intended to be a GoI format for the Horizon Initiative, but labeled as tales since 1) I never made a hub or template for the HI and 2) I didn't want to unilaterally impose my format onto others. However, looking at the GoI formats page, I noticed that there are now several GoI formats (Alexylva, the Factory, GRU-P) that don't have, as far I can tell, a GoI hub or template. Would it be acceptable for me to rebrand my aforementioned two articles as Horizon Initiative GoI formats? (If it helps, I might create a page where I show people how to use the format, but it probably wouldn't be a proper hub, though it could be incorporated into one.)
I'm not Staff, nor anyone who can speak in Official Capacity, but I've pushed for this before, and I am still in full support of this.
Relevant comments by actual Staff:
Looks like both of those are for the Horizon Initiative, so I'd say… probably? I'll nudge some staff about this.
ETA: Those are tagged as tales, so they're technically not GoI formats, so they wouldn't be listed here. Should the Horizon Initiative get a standardized GoI format template, then they'd be added to the list. Thanks GreenWolf for telling me.
I've messaged the creators of the HI about the ongoing project to fill in the missing GoI hubs so we'll see where that leads.

Speaking as a user who actually created a GoI format from scratch (namely, the SPC format), I literally made the article and declared it a GoI format by authorial will.
(Not staff, but…) There pretty much are no requirements for branding something as a GoI-format, excluding of course being epistolary in nature and written from the perspective of their respective group.
LTE-2712-Bosch was the first recognized GOC-format, and in the discussion there I even stated:
To which three staff stepped in and said it was kosher for tagging as a GoI-format. There's since been two more of this format produced, one of which, Roc Series Deicide Drone, Prototype Model, further elaborates on the general format to tell its story in a different manner, showcasing its potential versatility.
Hub isn't a requirement either, as #Xiupania was produced before the existence of the Oneroi Hub, and we have SIX SPC-formats without a hub, style guide, or even a GoI-blurb on the Groups of Interest Hub.
For what it's worth, I think your articles should have been tagged goi-format from the start. Its unique enough from other formats stylistically and in its construction.
