Copernicus and Corbette present the most horrifying critter you could ever encounter - and it's just so cute.
I'd like to claim a small amount of credit- when presented a different picture of a springhare and asked what it looks like it would do, I said that it looked like it would fuck my mom. Things developed from there.

Good job, but why is it Euclid? It shouldn't pose a threat if there are no pregnant things around.
Because there are usually pregnant things in the wild, and among humans. Also it's an unpredictable rodent, meaning it falls into Euclid under the locked box test.
I'm not seeing how it's unpredictable. It rips out fetuses and ties it to their stomachs. Where does it imply that there's reason to suspect it does other stuff?
Then why isn't every sentient organism Euclid? All I'm saying is that, based on the information shown in the description, which I'm assuming are the only things we know about it, there is nothing that indicates that we can't just lock each one in a separate box and be done with them.
They have the apparent ability to take out placental mammals many times their size. They're adapting in a way that doesn't make sense from an evolutionary stand-point, which makes their behaviour unpredictable.
An SCP object is classified as Euclid when its behavior cannot be unerringly predicted, either because the item is sentient, it behaves outside of current scientific knowledge, or its nature is simply poorly understood at present.
Among other issues, I kinda have the same problem with this as other people did with the first draft of Mr. Sillybug: it's basically an animal that behaves in an unusual- but not really anomalous- manner. Is a piranha an SCP? A honey badger? A lemming? A hydrothermal vent worm?
At first I was thinking, "Bah this can't be that bad." When I saw the picture.
It was that bad. So bad. It beat mother nature.
Am I gonna get punched in the face for suggesting that the title should be 'wallaby wannabes'?
No that's beautiful. I will consult copernicus and we may change the name to that.
That's…pretty fucked up son. +1, but i like smapti's idea that something unnatural happens to the fetus.
But still, fuck guys. Damn.
