A Quick Question

I'm currently thinking of ideas for an SCP (Ideas that I probably won't act on for awhile) and I don't want to continue this train of thought if it's just going to end in a crash.

I know there are a couple SCP's regarding the idea (SCP-052 for example) but what's the general rule regarding time-travel and SCP's? I assume in order for it to fit, it would have to be something that could not be controlled and be dangerous, but I'm not really sure if time-travel SCP's are frowned about around here and SCP-052 is just an exception.

Edit: SCP, not SPC, my bad again. I don't know how I didn't notice that one.

Just my opinion, but avoid time travel. It's tough to make it work without sounding cliched. Anyway, there's a few SCPs involving it already.

I'd be the last person to say you can't write time-travel SCPs (I've written three that have at least some aspect of time-travel in them: SCP-052, SCP-699, and SCP-911). Plus there are others, like SCP-110 around. For a new one to work, it not only has to be well-written, but have a significantly different take on the idea than the ones we have.

Wow, that's a lot of SPCs. It's Special Containment Procedures, so the objects are SCPs, not SPCs. You really need to fix that before you write anything (it's a rookie error and will attract downvotes).

As for timetravel, there are several time-travel related SCPs. This means that while you can write one, it will have to be well-written, or put some new and interesting spin on the idea, for it to stick.
