I assume the radar is "resetting" the area a bit, altering aspects of the zone to the way they were in the prehistoric past. It seems to be copying chunks of space from that specific time frame into the present day. The SCP might paste a chunk of sky over where a person had been (effectively making them vanish), or paste a prehistoric shark into the water. Does the radar then just pull/replace full lifeforms, or can it chop them up by grabbing an incomplete segment? It seems to be chopping up landscape and buildings without making distinctions..so it might end up doing the same for lifeforms. If that's the case, then the island is going to start claiming some body parts (prehistoric and present-day). Also, if airborne creatures started showing up, it would be a noticeable breach if a full one ever showed up and escaped.
Also, the global sea level back then was about 100 meters lower than it is today. When sections of the sea that are at most 100 meters deep are replaced, they would be replaced with air/land. That probably causes some nasty turbulence/whirlpools in the ocean. I don't know if it would be necessary to put in the article, but I did want to bring it up.
