I remember the thing this is, ah, derived from. That was rather less good than this. Rather a lot less good.
Upvoted for taking a patently absurd statement from a horrid SCP and turning it into a respectable Tale. I honestly did not think it could be done. ('Course, I also thought it wouldn't be done in the first place….)
Tanhony's tried it a few times, but he generally tries to twist it into something horrible, which often doesn't quite work.

edit: Someone explained to me in the chat why this is cool. Well… I get it, but I wasn't here then. A lot of people won't be. I gotta think from the perspective of someone who is seeing this site for the first time. Yeah it's funny, haha. Good job on that. But as one of the new generation I don't and won't get it, and can't… and neither will any of the future new people. I have to stick to my down-vote
I'm glad I never saw the SCP this was based on, but I am also glad that I saw what resulted from it. In a way, this is almost touching. Upvoted.
For some reason, my internal monologue read this in the voice of the Engineer from TF2. And I'm okay with that.
Might add this to my list of potential audio remakes if OP is willing.
Hah, I remember this. It's good, though the mother thing maybe justifies it to much. Still, less humor and a little more sad so I guess it works in the end.
