Now this log was MUCH better at explaining the SCP. It is pretty creepy, albeit a "thing what makes more things in a log". Upvote and neutral vote on the main article, pending edits for tone there.
The door to the empty room is heard being torn from the frame at 00:44:10 as an unseen force proceeds to thrash it around the room.
Given that it's an audio log, I'd think the 'unseen' part is sorta defunct.
Other than that, I'm agreeing with Clotifoth, the log is far more interesting and engaging than the main SCP.
The proper gun would be an M1911. That is a Colt .45 handgun.
Edit: And even then, most military and paramilitary groups use M9s nowadays. Very possible this isn't in the present. Just for general knowledge.
Ah yes, silly me. I was thinking of the M1911 when I originally wrote that log. Though considering the M9 entered service in 1990, it would make more sense for that to be the featured firearm in a test taking place during the early 00's. Thanks for the catch.
Okay, just pushed a new revision for this and the main article fixing several issues (and in the case of the main article, refocusing the entire thing). Let me know what you guys think of these changes, and let me know if there's any more errors that I've somehow missed.
What if they were to record sound and video of the recording themselves, perhaps to add an extra dimension to it?
And can you rip footage off the tapes? For example, would using those VHS/DVD converters work?
Wait, are they even VHS? They could be beta tapes for all I know.
SCP-1250-2 tape (5): Dice Result: 108
SCP-1250-2 tape (6): Dice Result: ☻≈ƒå
SCP-1250-2 tape (12): Dice Results: [REDACTED]
Heheheheh.
Dr. T████ is heard counting down from 14, reaching 0 just as the recording ends.
Oh shit.
Am I the only one who seems to think that Dr. Carter switched the control tape and the SCP tape? Reading that segment brought all kinds of "something is up" flags in my brain.
Did the author intend that?
I caught that too! Though this is how I saw it;
So SCP-1250 doesn't show any huge discrepancies, right? Most things have a general similarity in theme; for example, the static test showed filler video. The room test showed an empty room. Someone dying due to a fatal accident and someone dying to a murder is a huge change, in my book.
Unless neither was an accident.
If we presume that "murdered"/"not murdered" is a change too big for SCP-1250 to create, then even if Carter did murder his predecessor, where did he get a tape of Dr. T dying of his injuries?
Name: Dr. ███████, with Dr. T████ monitoring.
Date: ██/11/200█
Duration: 00:08:04
Dr. ███████ interviews Mr. █████. Several times during the interview, Dr. ███████ will randomly hold up a card with a simple drawing on it, and ask Mr. █████ to describe what he sees. A total of 7 cards were held up during the course of the interview. It's important to note that aside from the card results, both interviews were the same.
Control tape: Mr. █████'s responses to the image cards: cat, airplane, flower, barn, teddy bear, horse, apple.
SCP-1250-1 tape: Mr. █████'s responses to the image cards: pencil, window, swan, tree, airplane, bus, moon. All responses given were for cards that did exist in the deck.
It says that none of the cards existed in the deck, but clearly airplane was, as it was in the control.
All responses given were for cards that did exist in the deck.
I don't think there's a discrepancy.
