Re-written old version to be more consistent in its effects.
Thanks VAElynx and Reject for their suggestions; special thanks to Dexanote for helping me edit and trim down the article. You're awesome, guys!

I did thouroghly enjoy this (Mostly for the fact that it is one of the few SCP articles I've read which caused me place myself in the position of the victim subject), but I can only assume that, since this is a rewrite, similiarities to The Improver have already been brought to your attention.
I'm very glad you liked it! But no vote? :c
Anyway, I was aware of the similarity while I was writing the original version of this SCP. It does not bother me since the two are distinct enough to be considered entirely separate SCPs: 212 improves while 1300 only heals, 212 uses implants and cybernetics, 1300 only uses biological tissues, 212 can and does put new objects into the person's body while 1300 actively removes them and is incapable of doing anything but that… in many ways, 1300 is anti-212! haha, I just noticed that myself, too
It's getting there, but I did like the old cancer-gobbling couch version too. I think the language needs to be clearer and more specific with regards to the technical process of the surgery. I also think that the section of containment procedure regarding cancer patients could be moved to an addendum at the end of the article and have slightly less clunky wording.
Does this mean that it will also remove and replace transplanted organs, as they are foreign to the body being operated on?
Yes. They will be replaced with ones created by SCP-1300. I'll add a note acknowledging this in the article.
[DATA EXPUNGED] All testing with brain-damaged subjects is prohibited.
There's no reason this expungement needs to be here. Other than that upvoted.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
Does it not work as suggesting something has happened when testing occurred with brain damaged subjects?
If you wanted it specifically related to that, I would change it to, "In light of [DATA EXPUNGED] all testing…"
Neither hate it nor love it. Well written, but no vote from me.
I like this, but one minor point—a tumour is not a foreign object. They are merely human cells growing abnormally and will have the same DNA as the host.
They will not have the same DNA as the host. The reason they are growing abnormally is because of a mutation in cell DNA. Normally a cell will try to repair any DNA damage done to it, but if it divides before it can do so, the mutation is passed on to the next cell. That next cell begins dividing uncontrollably due to the mutation it carried from the parent cell — it considers its DNA proper at that point and will not attempt to repair it.
Whilst what you said is technically true, a cancer can be caused by as little as 2 single base point mutations in some cases, making it basically the same as host tissue. A cell may also contain more than 100 point mutation and still operate the same as normal, it all depends on the exact locations on the genome. i mean you could simply say its done though an unknown means, 'cos ya know, its an SCP so that works.
That's already the case — the relevant information is [REDACTED] out, and even the researchers aren't 100% sure — they only suspect that DNA examination is one way this SCP does what it does. There are no definite answers.
But thank you for the info anyway. All my scientific knowledge comes from wikipedia, so all corrections/advices are welcome.
