I've been working on this for the better part of a month, since there's a lot of stuff that goes into audio drama creation. Hopefully, I've made something simple enough to be used by (and not scare off) the novice while being helpful to the knowledgeable enthusiast. Finally moved over from the sandbox.

This exists. (Finally.)

Edit: Since it came up on chat, I'll reiterate the reason for this page's existence. From the introduction:

With the hope of stimulating the creation of SCP Foundation audio dramas, I decided it would be helpful to condense and share that knowledge with the community.

This is fantastically written and extremely thorough, great job. I'd suggest the first bit, where you pimp your personnel page (guide pages can also be gotten to by clicking on the 'guide' tag).

In order to stimulate audio log creation, starting a collab might work well. It's not that we aren't creative here, but making an audio log seems to be quite a bit more work than a simple story that makes the same point. A collab only gives people one venue to help, so yeah. Try that or something.

Most impressive. I agree with Reject. Start a specific project and invite everyone to help. 'Agent Spoon Conquers Coney Island Circa 1938', A classic radio drama in 5 parts. Don't forget the ads for Lux Soap. Set up a framework and invite people onboard. I'm interested, I've laid down a few tracks in my day.

Damn, this is really, really good. For some reason, I had it in my head that this was just a recording of someone talking about how to record audio logs and such. Instead, I find detailed descriptions of the various roles of audio horror production, as well as a discussion of the different kinds of fear. Imagine my surprise. Not going to record an audio drama any time soon, but I'm glad this is here.

Audio recordings about audio recordings… very meta, not very useful. I wanted something that could be used as a quick-reference or an in-depth guide. Somewhat ironically, text proved the better medium for my talking about audio.

Magnificent production sir. I've put off reading it for a while, just because I wanted to give something like this my full attention.

As was discovered during the Welles broadcast, people can and do believe faux newscasts if they are handled improperly, which has resulted in a variety of restrictions on broadcast hoaxes.

Improperly? Fooling a nation of people, that's quality; it shouldn't be used to hurt people, of course. But props to you if you have the choice.

This is a lot of great information here! I wonder if it should be connected with: http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/audio-adaptations so it's easier to find? I know this isn't a strict guideline or official document, but it's really great stuff and I think it desires more attention and should be seen by anyone looking to make audio works with the Foundation wiki content.
