It evokes 'Gnomeo and Juliet' for me. Technically pretty good; there is a little bit of switching between singular/plural when referring to the group or the SCP-that-is-the-group. I like the concept of ___ gone rouge when once friendly, but I would fill the blank with something besides lawn gnomes; I would avoid toys also. What else is ubiquitous, hominid and usually harmless?

I used gnomes due to the fact that you cant get away from them where i live. perhaps instead of gnomes they could be statuettes?

statuettes, fountain figures, flamingos, lawn toads-with-lights-in-their-mouths… people leave surprising numbers of breakable things on their lawns.
