I know there are some similarities to brittle boy, but I hopes I outlined the fundamental differences. The thing needs repeated exposure, and doesn't what die if it bumps its knee on something. If they're too similar, if anything, I hope this !non-humanoid! one just works better.

Strongly reminiscent of SCP-116. Further, there's just nothing about this to elicit any sort of give-a-fuck. It's an inverse 682, vulnerable to the point where it shouldn't reasonably survive, but it does anyway for some reason. And the Foundation tortures it because SCIENCE! And Dr. Sanders is too stupid to figure out that covering its ears means it's averse to sound and starts yelling.

EDIT: I don't particularly care for 116, but taking that concept and turning it to 11 does not in any way improve it, humanoid or not.
Gotchya, gotta say it's not being tortured though and I tried to outline how it's currently still alive by the nature of it being hurt by prolonged exposure.

Does this mean it.. Phased into the wall? Is it between sections of the cell? Reappearing inside solid matter? Seems like a rather quick end to the little guy if it was the latter.
I'm really not sure about this one in its present state. I will mull over any suggestions I can give towards its improvement when I have more time to elaborate.
My thinking behind it was that it might be some sort of super-quasi-weakness that instead of killing it would cause it to temporarily dematerialize. That sound weird?

I was interpreting it as the creature's skin was de-adapting to the light by becoming see-through.
Well. While this is somewhat intriguing…. for some reason I keep thinking that after a while of testing that showed nothing useful, this thing would be just shot or thrown into the incinerator, similar to Spikebrennan's story.
You know.. my usual motto is that an SCP, like a revolutionary tribunal is all about execution… here, the tone and execution is quite solid but the idea is unconvincing enough that it messes up.
I mean, if anything, you should focus on the lack of need for sustenance - some useful research might come from that.

It needs something more. As it is, it is more of an anomalous object. It goes beyond 'Safe' into the 'Harmless' category. If it was engineered to lay golden eggs, but could easily die it would make sense, but not be very creepy. If it could do something like transferring the suffering it experiences to others it might be creepier.
There is nothing wrong with a creature that evokes a response of D'aaaw… as long as it sounds like D'aaaw………EEK!, or D'aaaw………EWW! or even D'aaaw………WTF!
The containment procedures seem odd and sometimes contradictory.

I see where you guys are coming from, I'm going to do a rewrite before the days end and see what happens. I might steer away from it being a 682 opposite, as novel as that is.
The candle test shouldn't be in the sound portion of the testing log. Other than that, this is good. I think that there is a over aboundace of incedibly powerfull god-likes on this site, and seeing the exact opposite as a pleasant change. Just because it's feeble, doesn't mean it's not Foundation worthy. +1

On a side note, I figured that the candle test would best fit under light, to test how it reacted to "natural" light. But instead, you lit it on fire? You lit a incredebly weak and feeble animal on fire to see how it reacts, and you put it in a coma?

Why don't you move the test log to light, and make something other than horrible injury happen to it? Otherwise, this just seems cruel, even by Foundation standards.
Well like I said, I don't think it's torture. They don't list many other harmful experiments, and they simply wanted to see how it reacted to fire. Now on the other hand, if they took a blowtorch to it…
