This started out as the song written by Frederick von Hayek that Adebowale talks about towards the end. I didn't think that concept had any true soul, so I made this instead.

Also: while this an AWCY GoI-Format, I don't see Adebowale as a true member of AWCY. Rather, they are an independent anartist who displays pieces at the dicennial conventions run by AWCY, which tend to be a bit more mainstream than pure AWCY.

EDIT: I forgot that the AWCY conventions are dicennial, not annual. This got bumped back to 1994 from 1998 to make it fit.

Beautiful piece, illustrated well, and really shows the soul (as you put it) of a true-believer anartist.

In more seriousness, I love this. The sense of beauty works very well as a unifying theme, and the ideas of building on previous work aligns with the central concept of an artist's work.

A fantastic addition to AWCY. I especially liked how mundane the most beautiful thing Adebowale has seen is, and how they have none of the stuff they're asking for - it makes them feel very human.

Adebowale is not meant to have bad English - most of those are typos.

This is an intentional, small deviation from the normal AWCY format (l'd compare it to an SCP having a Discovery section, because the entire piece comes in two parts, and I'd thought it would be good to distinguish them. The creation section is needed once, while the performance is needed any time the song is played.

Poetic prose, it's not meant to be really be an accurate sentence.

I wrote it, noticed it sounded a bit weird, and tried to think about how to fix it. I wasn't sure of how to do it, but the sentence was parsible and the meaning could be discerned, so I kept it.

It's not really prose, I'm pretty sure the sentence is still gramatically accurate the way I wrote it. I don't think kindness needs an article.

I have translated this article and recommended it to many of my friends.

This article is really beautiful, I especially like the "I wasn't looking to survive, I was looking to live." and "It's not just the skyline itself that was beautiful to me, but it had the added weight of everything that had happened to me in the preceeding years."

An idea comes to my mind, since different artists have different personalities, maybe one day we will have an artist who uses his or her art to help people?

This is one of my favorite AWCY? items because of they way you so intensely portray Adebowale's experience. They feel very developed and the language you used is beautiful. +1

Fantastic. I imagine this was rejected - it's not the sort of stuff AWCY likes. But it fits as an AWCY project proposal perfectly, and the whole thing is just wonderful, as in it creates wonder.
