This rocks hard.
Just like PNM, this has some extremely strong prose, dialogue, and conceptuality, but it does something that PNM didn't really do: it made me care for the UIU. I… I don't like UIU, I won't lie, but this series singlehandedly changed that, and that's no easy deed to accomplish, y'know? Really goes to show how much a good fuckin' series like this one can change in the reader.
I lowkey do wish the three tales of the Three Portlands Bomber arc were strung between five articles to make the pacing just a little better and I do kinda think that setting up the bomber as more of a threat early on could do it good, but these are so small nitpicks they shouldn't even count as criticism, because, like I said, this is just really goddamned good.
Really solid stuff.
Oh, and the detail of the top message in the hub being similar to that of Pietrykau's in PNM's hub is a really nice little touch.
Edit: Looking through Vital Signs, I found a dead crosslink in the mention of "Dark Room;" the page it leads to seems to no longer exist. Thought I'd let you know.
