I laughed. I cried. It was the feel good story of the summer.
I like this a lot, actually. It's sometimes easy to forget that some of these things have very human wants and needs. yes, it sucks to be a "ward" of The Foundation…but you're also provided for, not (generally) shot at, and not stared at over-much.
I might have to try something like this, where a SCP finally escapes…only to remember that the outside world really kinda sucks.
The outside world is great…if you can participate with normal humanity. But for them….go back to hunting for fresh meat? Go back to huddling in abandoned houses? Eating out of trash cans?
They're cooperative, and it works for them.
I like this story, but I hate this story's title. It's like reading "Catcher in the Rye" if the book's name was "Poopstick McGee and the Flying Walruses." Nevertheless, +1.
"WELL FOUNDATION. YOU MADE IT SO EASY. SO VERY VERY EASY." - dimensionpotato
I dare you to write a story called, "Poopstick McGee and the Flying Walruses."
"WELL FOUNDATION. YOU MADE IT SO EASY. SO VERY VERY EASY." - dimensionpotato
Tempt not the Troy.
"WELL FOUNDATION. YOU MADE IT SO EASY. SO VERY VERY EASY." - dimensionpotato
The original full title was "I HAET U MOM N DAD IM RUNNING AWAY FOREVURRRRRR"
I'm confused- I thought that SCP-347 was horrified at what the Good Doctor did to that researcher…
TO be fair, she used to rape people in their sleep, probably. So…fair game.
Well, this was a sweet gem to stumble across. I want to see more stuff like this on the wiki.
Noting that a recent edit by Nightsmaiden to change "amnesiacs" to "amnestics" was reverted, as this is an old page that was written before "amnestics" became the go-to word. As some authors have preferred to retain the old terminology as a stylistic choice, please let the author decide if they want to make that change.
