This is a call for review for this article.
Well this was certainly an interesting article for me to read. I haven't looked at this one until just now, and I can definitely see what I've been missing out on. The trope of the "anomaly what hunts humans" is one that we've seen before, but I feel this one has a unique charm to it. Perhaps it's just because the description of the creature is itself interesting. I particularly enjoy the last part of the article, because it gives me a clear image of this gooey red thing hanging from the ceiling of a containment chamber.
But there are elements of this article that remain unsolved, things that are left out that I feel are important. For instance, how big is this creature? Obviously it has to be at least as big as a human, since it absorbs them whole. But is that the case? What about the kids it uses? Does it devour them, or does it let them go? These are questions I feel should be answered in the article. I understand wanting to leave the horror to the imagination, but this is done in the wrong way, I feel.
The tone of the article is…eh. It's not terrible, but it's also less clinical than I feel it should be. I'm not fantastic with individual examples, so I'll leave it to you, the reader, to decide if it's good the way it is or if it could use an update. And speaking of the readers, let's hear what some of them have to say about this article:
That being said, theres quite a few things that I think should be explained. What happens to the kid after its used as bait? I would imagine they're eaten as well, but the article doesn't mention it. Why isn't this considered at least Euclid? Are we sure this is the only one? Do we know anything about it other than its feeding habits?
Whats written so far is good, but it feels incomplete.

I had this upvoted, but cancelled my vote when I realized it's not mentioned how big the thing is.

So please, read this article, absorb its essence, and tell me what you think. If nothing else, it would be nice to get some more traffic to this crybaby of an article. :)
