I wanted to do something vaguely Halloween-related, and was thinking about those carnival haunted houses…but then thought up some effects that would work better with a mirror maze. Therefore: this.

Foundation personnel intercepted police report of this incident.

Why would the police be contacted over this? Did the woman freak out and attack amusement park personnel?

I would expect that she freaked out, a crowd gathered, and someone called the police…who said "WTF?" and filed a report. Or perhaps being shrunk was not good for her health, just like being stretched out was bad for the D-class later on. The details of civilian incidents don't always make it into the SCP report…

It's non-canon, of course, but I figure one way the Foundation becomes aware of many SCPs is to spy on police computers and monitor police reports for odd incidents.

I thought this was wonderful, as a kid my dad and I got lost in a hall of mirrors in a pretty shady amusement park, so this kinda resonated with me. I would love to see more experiment logs, and more incidents pertaining to "Zippo the Pyromaniac Clown"

Why are the experiments labelled in order. I assumed that there was time space between the previous events. I guess it could just be that the experiments that failed simply weren't noted as worthy of recording, but that would be reckless and irresponsible. I would really like it if the experiments numbers jumped around a bit more. Maybe they have the luck of the Irish though.

That's odd, that you (and a couple others above) want to see more experiments…it's not that I couldn't come up with more incidents/experiments/effects, but when I read through it, I think it's long enough and the current experiments/incidents adequately demonstrate what the SCP does.

What do the rest of you think? Needs more experiments, or fine the way it is?

To expand on my thoughts, I guess that I think the concept is fine: a haunted funhouse/house of mirrors is always cool. However, there's no real cohesion, no underlying theme, nothing to guess at. The SCP is just a standard haunted funhouse. It seems to be randomly screwing with people who enter in completely random ways. The SCP doesn't seem to have any goals or motives, just random spooky stuff. I think you need it to have some difficult-to-ascertain motive that we can partially guess at. Maybe someone was murdered/molested/[REDACTED] by some cult there and they want everyone to know. Maybe its inhabited by an inter dimensional mirror alien or a psycho cult clown. (I thought you were going somewhere with the clown, but he only appeared once.)

I kind of wanted to, but we have Bobble, and the last guy who tried to work Bobble's territory got eaten by squirrels. Hundreds of 'em … I didn't even know they were carnivorous until I heard about it.
