This is the discussion related to the wiki page 1. Mr. Headless.
It should be interesting seeing through the minds of the Little Misters, especially those that aren't contained SCPs, like this one. Since Mr. Clank wasn't on the list they all carry, I take it there are more Little Misters now than originally stated on the sheet they came with?
That would be the most viable interpretation.

There are multiple sheets. Each Little Mister is on at least one of these sheets (the one they carry) and may be on other sheets. What this means, and what system there is to it, is not something that's been hammered down (so far as I know).
I snipped the "by anaxagoraxis" bit. Anyone can see who posted a piece by checking page history; putting your name at the top just gives a tacky grade school assignment vibe that detracts from the impact of your writing.

Users can and should post their own material.
I've asked most folks beforehand if I could post their stories for them, if the time comes and they're not available. If they declined I just gave them the date of posting and they were free to post it themselves. I don't really see the problem as long as the author is being credited.
Next time, let people post their own stuff. It's how we both tell who wrote a page, and who can edit it. It's just easier all around if people post their own things.

I see that that's there now, but a PM ("Hey, Anax, we're posting this") still would have been nice.
Sorry Anax, I failed you on that one. I assumed you would be in the chat a lot earlier like you usually were, but the due time I had finally set was coming up fast and I wanted to get around to posting. Next time I'll also shoot you a wikidot PM, although now that you have the times I guess that won't be necessary.
Not sure what to say about this matter; I'll leave it between you two for now unless you need something from me. I can confirm that I did indeed write this.
I really like this, and I hadn't read it before posting since my Internet died for a week. I'm pleased with this as an opener. +1.
For the record, since no one has said anything yet, this is part of a Tales project compiled by Salmander and I, with some major central ideas by TroyL and Dexanote and some others whom I've forgotten about because I suck. And of course, written by the authors credited, who are all amazing and awesome. :D
(Also, I assume we'll soon have a tag to clear up the business of the wiki thinking Salmander has posted written this.)
It's also not just a list of more Little Misters. There's a fair bit in these about how the whole Little Misters thing works.

Hm. I'm thorn.
On one side, the story itself is short, interesting and well done. I like the way it's written, and flows nicely.
But on the other hand… the Little Misters are a Wondertainment product, and I'm used to see those as weird, even creepy, but not -directly- harmful. This one takes heads. Is not exactly… Wondertainment-y. Feels more Factory to me.

You're right about Wondertainment in general, but Wondertainment stuff can be indirectly harmful. I imagine Mr. Headless' creators just thought he would be a cool idea, and never really thought about how taking people's heads kills them.
edit: Also, it's possible Mr. Headless' head-takings DON'T actually kill anyone. Just sayin'.
Moose raises some good possibilities. There's a couple others I'll bring up. Wondertainment's stuff sometimes can cause collateral damage, which might be an accurate description of Mr. Headless taking heads other than that of his owner.
Alternatively, and to me more likely, remember that Mr. Headless, like all the other Little Misters we see in this saga, has kind of gone rogue. The "proper role" of a Little Mister is as a toy. He may not be using his capabilities for their intended purpose. Perhaps Mr. Headless is supposed to be harmlessly and temporarily detaching little Billy's head as part of some game. In this story, he just doesn't return the heads he takes.
I…didn't feel like this has grasped the balance between the narrator being too incoherent and too coherent. So I found the first section of the story rather…cheesy. Especially the way he pauses between panicking to tell us his name and age. I'm sorry, but downvoted.
I doesn't feel to me like pauses between panicking. I see it more like spikes of panic over a base state of fear.

That's basically what I was going for. The recounting of name and age and such is just him reviewing what happened, trying to figure out how this is happening and how to make it stop.
I originally didn't care for this as I started reading through it. The tone from the guy was just too, too… I can't think of the word at a moment, I need a new head.
Anyways, the ending surprised me, (I had just stumbled on to this tale on its own), and I think I see where this is going now. Definitely liked it at the end.
