This is the discussion related to the wiki page SCP-727-J.
The first part bothers me because it doesn't mention anything like what we know about gravity or fusion, even in a vague way (no, no, I know that's the joke, but it would be funnier if it sounded like the Foundation had all the pieces there and still didn't put them together.)
Still, I upvoted it even before I read any of the addenda, just for this line:
"SCP-1543-J-02 was commissioned and built for the purpose of attempting to destroy SCP-727-J with different objects."

Continual exposure to the rays emitted by SCP-727-J causes radiation burns.
Foundation personnel have found a correlation in thought process with SCP-727-J. The longer SCP-727-J has set over the horizon, the more likely researchers are to make mistakes.
It's an enormous, unlicensed fusion reactor with no control apparatus.
The psychic effects are more serious than you describe- there are numerous documented examples of human cultures being organized on the basis of worshiping this object, including ancient Egypt.
And when its fuel is depleted, it will consume and destroy the earth.
Not anomalous, though. There are billions of these things out there.
I only see the one. There's a bunch of tiny shiny crystals out past Pluto's orbit, but they're probably just suspended in the aether, which is easily studied as soon as we get a ship out there.
The hell is Pluto? Some kind of planet? We only have 6 of those.
I almost wanted to downvote this in anger, because I had the vague idea of a joke SCP that turned out to be the moon. But I upvoted it.

i could have sworn there used to actually be one about the moon, it was like this, but it managed to make it so you had no idea what it was until the very end, where it had a picture.
