This is really well-written, aside from the first sentence of the containment procedures. "All SCP-924" doesn't work in my head. Perhaps "all instances of SCP-924"? Anyways, +1.

Well-written, pretty creepy, excellent picture. One thing that bugged me though, is

dragged down to the ocean floor

I assume that this not a purely oceanic creature, so it won't necessarily be an ocean floor specifically. On the other hand, I'm having trouble thinking of a solid replacement.

How 'bout "seafloor"? That's a general enough term to cover a variety of bodies of water.

Salt water in Michigan? Ice fishing is normally a freshwater thing as far as I'm aware. Also, it's spelled "arctic".

How would it react to another SCP? that would be interesting if you used another instance of a different SCP as a test.
