Oh hey look what I just shat out. I will be gone for a week or so, so I will not be able to answer your questions or address your concerns until that time. Feel free to edit for spelling and grammar and whatnot.
This is my attempt at writing an SCP in one day flat with no consultation. I had the idea before, but yeah. I just hope it doesn't get baleeted before I get back.

This is exceptionally well-written, especially taking into account that you wrote it under Bright's challenge conditions.
I don't really like the central concept. I don't like explaining interestingly creepy human behavior with an SCP that will never quite measure up.
I may just upvote this later, simply because I like how it's written (and I'm not sure how to fix the concept at the moment, and I'm not sure you should considering everyone else might love it as much as Rhett does), but for now, neutral vote.

I am incredibly lukeward towards this. I think you did very well with it, better than I would have expected, but the core concept just doesn't do much to grab me. Barely upvoted (I give it a 6/10, 5 being a neutral vote).
Well it definately looks like you managed to SCP-ify the urban legend (or is it folktale?), so no bad stuff there.
And I can't recall any SCP that already does this stuff.
So it's a +1 from me.
Although it would have been nice to know what the behaviour of SCP-1000-1 was while in the presence of humans, like if they react to the rituals at all.
The rituals made by 1000 are all bullshit. Granted, it's oddly believable bullshit that goads you into doing dangerous things, but it just doesn't work. This is assuming there isn't anything more interesting behind the [DATA EXPUNGED].
That being said, any ideas as to what I can do to improve this (short of using a different core concept entirely)? It seems like most of the upvotes I have are just barely there, and I want this to be as good as I can make it.

I made a few edits, mostly for wording. Picked a new task force to assist the Triple Dog Daredevils, removed some blackboxes, and simplified some parts that were just unnecessarily wordy.

1. It wasn't based on any particular urban legend. I noticed that other people were writing 1000 contest entries that were, so it occurred to me that an SCP could be responsible for urban legends.
2. Being able to kill people repeatedly might not be Keter-worthy, but factor in that it's extremely difficult to track due to A. You can't lock it in a box so you have to follow it around B. being virtually invisible, C. moving very quickly and erratically, and D. if you lose track of it, you probably have to wait until it makes the news (which is bad) to find out where it went. Plus, if you don't get some vehicles chasing it as soon as it leaves, it's pretty much gone until you can figure out where it went.
In short, it's not the lethality that makes it Keter, it's that plus the extreme difficulty in containing it. It's like a serial killer who you can't put in jail or execute; you have to follow him around and convince people not to go into his house, which has tons of money on the front porch. Also, he's invisible.

As opposed to, yanno, people making up urban legends because they're creepy places where people have probably died?
I'm sorry, I can't help but read this as an overenthusiastic researcher missing the point and making up an SCP where there is none. The writing is fantastic, but the concept plus the overspecific list of qualifications negates that by giving me the acute impression someone has screwed up cause and effect. Downvoted.
Man, I still like the writing enough to keep my upvote on there, but besides that I couldn't agree with yoric more here.
That was intentional. When I first wrote Bees, I was trying to garner attention for this, seeing as how it was my lowest-rated SCP.

I changed around the containment procedures a bit, streamlined a few things here and there, clarified some, and removed a paragraph where it became lolkillsyou. I also made a small attempt at giving it some sort of motive (if that can even work).
