Big thanks to Weryllium, Hippo, Not a Seagull, Drchandra, and Zyn for critique. This skip is intended as an allegory for the real life issues faced by exotic pets such as turtles or wolf-like dogs. These animals are difficult to care and provide for, and often end up dead or abandoned.

Slowly, SCP-3934-1 moves closer, before beginning to eat the fish out of O'Doherty's hand. Specimen seems hesitant at first, but quickly gains enthusiasm. After consuming the fish, it moves forward and begins to nuzzle O'Doherty's leg with its neck.

As Rourke leaves the room, SCP-3934-1 briefly submerges before returning with a ball held in its mouth. It then moves towards the pool's edge and deposits the ball in front of O'Doherty. O'Doherty then throws the ball towards the other end of the pool. Rourke returns just as SCP-3934-1 promptly retrieves the ball and swims back to O'Doherty.

I remember someone making a comment about making a Loch Ness monster SCP over on the subreddit a couple months back. Was that you?

It's possible I said something like that, though I only decided to work on this fairly recently. Not sure honestly.

Damn, I was upset at the first half because of the poor treatment, and grinned throughout the log. Can't believe the Loch Ness monster can be so cute. Hearty +1.

Mini-Loch Ness Monsters seem like the kind of thing that should have been on the wiki ages ago. Good job making this a reality, focusing the article on how they're made and tying into all kinds of history. Though I'll say the log at the end is kind of silly. (By jove, they're all terribly British, what, what!) +1

On a serious note, the scientific tone of this was really good, along with being really interesting. The image is really good quality too, and works on my heavily restricted network.

I love this idea. I've always liked cryptids and dinosaur-era animals. The story was good, and the execution was wonderful.

Damn good story!

I always was sotf on abandoned pets, and this story got to me strong.
Heartless rich bustards! for throwing them out like that.
And the Foundation playing anomalius WWF, shows that this guys have a heart after all.
