Two half-formed drafts and a shitpost later I was finally able to write this XD

I'm glad to see this up! I really like Bumaro as a character, and it's cool to see the church of the broken god portrayed from their own point of view.

Out of curiosity - I wasn't sure whether this was like a "what if"/"possible ending" type story or if it's depicting lore that's supposed to have already happened? As an out-of-context bunch of cool things happening, it's great, but was this written to fit in to a larger story?

It happened thousands of years ago back at the Mekhanite & Sarkic Empire War (eatablished in the Sarkicism skips), and this is a take on how the Sarkicites are banished. So yeah, stuff that already happened.

This would definitely serve as part of my headcanon, and I might write follow ups or prequels. There are already a fews things I wrote that is related to this, like the About the Beast section in About the Serpent.

Yep, according to my headcanon that is XD

(I mean if I were to be real accurate I guess both parts of the name should be alias but I don't want to just randomly come up with something + I don't have any knowledge of names in that area at during those times.)

"Robert Bumaro" is an alias in it's entirety. When you live this long, I suppose changing the names is almost a habit at this point.
Using a different name I imagine wouldn't tip off the reader who is this person over here, that we see a guy that is now CotBG leader at the moment. The original name is too difficult to come up with as record from the time and place we see him come from are at best murky re: naming lost to the time, I think.

Not very sunny, but with masses of clockwork. As someone who hasn't really invested themselves in the CotBG/Sarkicism lore before, I found this a great introduction to the key themes and ideals of both, and a really nice piece of story in its own right.

This was a well depicted titanomachy. I found myself wishing there was some way both of them could lose, but the ending was still satisfying. Death to fleshy ones!

Well I still need to make it so that Bumaro can live to the present day to found CotBG, but he did have to spend some thousand years isolated (probably in a desert) so as to not accidentally turn people/animals into clockwork zombies :D
