If the foundation's universe is meant to be the world of reason, then based on the description, do WE exist in the world of myth?

This is well written; the prose is good enough that I really wish I liked it. Unfortunately, the content is cliched and of a fashion that's overdone to the point where I find it annoying. There's nothing new enough here to make up for it. So, downvoting.
