Mmm. Not my favourite 001, but I do really like this. Top five, absolutely.
I don't mind religious SCPs. Some people dislike them, but I don't mind them when they're done well. And holy shit this one is done well.
It's convoluted in the entertaining modern article style of way, and the legalese is appealing because it makes sense that it's added to the cliffsnotes of an SCP report and would be necessary for someone reading it to know. That in itself is a fantastic structural aspect that is sorely missed by many articles today, and would alone drive for an upvote, if not for being just a great, great religious article on its own. But then the crosslinks work so goddamn well too.
Fabulous work as usual, Spike.
that the blindspot is where Zapporah dropped the skin and saved Moses from wrath, which also turned out to be the spot that Jesus Christ was eventually born. In the Foundation's attempt to recreate the spot ended up bringing a/the Devil into the waking world, which led to the creation of the pit in 1844. Then in-universe God comes in and is pissed that the Foundation is doing all this where he can't see, so they make an agreement.
And the name. Imminently intriguing, and makes sense as soon as you read it - but not until. Fantastic.
