Reminds me of me.
I meant the toaster, of course.
Very poetic. I like.

"If written by one
Ignorant of its effect,
They’re unaffected"
What does this mean?
Otherwise, upvoted for cleverness.
If they don't know it,
They won't write things in haiku
of nine-thirty-one.
That would be correct
If it weren't contradicted
before— it's changed now.
If you'd have told me
Of this hauku idea,
I would have said no.
A bad SCP,
I would have said to you then,
And yet I like it.
Yes, Quikngruvn,
You have succeeded in this,
And have my upvote.
I found a plus sign
That I truly want to click
You have made my week
I agree wholly
with the three men above me
and also Sensei
edited for fail
I am quite sorry for that
I can not count here
Wait… "and also" me?
Is some ambiguity
Playing on my life?
I cannot help it,
I must write a haiku here,
In praise of this thing
Three inches in height,
Four point five inches across.
(Metric doesn’t fit.)
I was indifferent until I got to this part. I like this and I'm not sure why.
It's syllable count.
"Centimeters" doesn't leave
Room for dimension.
It's also punnish.
"Metric" doesn't fit haiku,
Which has no meter.
Sweet tuxedo jesus
I did not notice that pun
I.. for fuck's sake, Quik
It's not as good now
I will leave the upvote, though
Final line? I like pie
I can safely say
I did not think of that pun.
Clever, though, Sensei.
I cannot make out
this pun that you have put
that uses metric.
Metric poetry:
Feet that repeat a pattern,
Of stressed and unstressed.
Haiku only counts,
The syllables of each line,
Stress does not matter.
That one is brilliant.
A brief, witty way to show
nine-three-one's effects:
Even Foundation
recording policies can't
break syllable rules.
Okay.
I fucking love this article.
But.
It's a rice bowl that forces you to write haiku. That's a boring concept and borderline offensively stereotypical of asian cultures. I'm gonna have to downvote.
Look, I love format screws as much as the next guy, but only when they apply to something with actual substance. This is not one of those cases. If this were a joke SCP, it would be damn fantastic, but I just don't like it as a main list entry.
I completely agree that this would be better as -J
But there's nothing offensive or stereotypical about a rice bowl being connected with haiku. The Japanese are generally very proud of their traditions, both culinary and artistic. It would be a lot more offensive to obtusely say that haiku and rice bowls are part of "asian culture".
Still, I'm not sure if I can upvote as a main-series article.
I agree with this. For one we have the toaster already, for two it's … well … I can admire the quirk and the unique way of writing up an SCP doc but … this should be 575-J. Gonna have to downvote.
The toaster also seemed like it should have been a J but it wasn't funny at all. It was horrifying once you got past the friendly sounding language and realized what it could do to you.
This doesn't do that, it's just the same effect applied to poetry without a catch, which is cute but not frightening and not interesting enough to stand in the toaster's shadow.
I like it on its own, but it really should be a J.
I'm inclined to agree. The effect is even less clear and sensible than the toaster (How specific does it have to be? What if I start writing about another rice bowl and then switch halfway to this one?), and I don't find the effect to be very interesting either.
Can't please everyone
But everyone can please me
(That's what Extreme says)
i like it and i'm
upvoting to spite yoric
(i am just kidding)
